METECS is an engineering and applied technology company that provides high-fidelity simulation and software development for commercial customers in the agriculture, energy, construction, and sports marketing industries. Many of our solutions involve VR and AR technologies.  

We are seeking a motivated and skilled web developer to contribute to our web and mobile projects. While this position emphasizes front-end development, there is an opportunity to work on back-end development as well. Full stack experience is preferred but not required.

You will be part of a small team working on diverse projects, which may include web, mobile, desktop native, or cloud-native applications. We hire individuals who are driven, adaptable and eager to learn. You'll have the chance to grow your skill set and be flexible in your career development.

You will be collaborating with other developers, designing front end components. Qualified candidates for this role should possess experience developing applications utilizing modern web application frameworks and be familiar with best practices. Responsibilities:

  • Developing and maintaining complex software applications
  • Collaborating with other developers and UX team
  • Designing customer-facing UI and back-end services for various projects
  • Developing high-performance applications by writing testable, reusable, and efficient code
  • Running diagnostic tests, identifying bugs, and ensuring the application runs smoothly across different devices and browsers
  • Recommending and implementing improvements to processes, tools and technologies
  • Keeping informed of advancements in the field of modern development technologies including front-end technologies such as Angular, React, and Vue

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience) in Computer Science, Information Science or related field
  • Experience building web applications using Angular, TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3
  • Experience working with SQL and/or NoSQL database
  • Extensive knowledge of JavaScript frameworks and libraries
  • Experience in building responsive web applications
  • Familiarity with RESTful API integration and handling asynchronous operations
  • Experience working with a UI/UX team and understanding of UX principles
  • Comfortable working with version control systems (Git)
  • Great organizational and time management skills
  • Superb interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving aptitude

Desired Qualifications:
 
  • Experience with Ionic Framework or other mobile development frameworks
  • Experience with Node.js or similar back-end technologies
  • Experience with game development engines (Unity, UE4)
  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools
  • Understanding of database types and concepts (e.g., SQL, MongoDB)
  • Experience game engines such as UE4 or Unity3D
  • Proficiency with other programming languages including C#, C++, Go, Python
  • Exposure to system design principles
  • Familiarity with Docker and containerization principles
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS
